This Chinese yellow tea is very rare. We selected this organic hand-picked yellow tea from Huoshan because of the smooth taste. The Huoshan Yellow Bud is one of the last yellow teas still available in China. The other relatively famous yellow tea is the Mengding Tea from Sichuan province. Junshan Tea from Hunan is also a traditionally famous yellow tea, but nowadays it is usually produced as a green tea.
Like the name suggests, both the leaves and the taste of this tea will give you a yellow impression making this tea quite different from green teas. The tea is fresh, with a light peppery taste. Only the youngest tea leaves are chosen for this tea.
Brewing Instructions: Use 3-4 grams of this tea per glass and add water just below boiling (70-80 degrees Celsius). To prepare half a liter of this yellow tea, use around 5 grams depending on your personal preference. Don't start with too much yellow tea, otherwise the tea will become bitter. Steep the tea for a few seconds if you like mild tea and for a little more than a minute of you like strong tea. When using the KungFu tea set, use 3 grams of tea and steep for around 20 seconds. It's not necessary to wash this tea, but it doesn't hurt.
This tea comes from the Da Hua Ping mountains. The combination of the great tea-growing climate and the exclusivity of this yellow tea is guaranteed to give all first time drinkers an excellent impression and a great tea experience.
If your order total doesn’t exceed 300 grams, the standard shipping tariff will be 4 euros and it will take around 12 days for you to receive the tea at home. If you order more than 15 euros, shipping will be free.
