White tea-cake produced in 2008. This tea is slightly fermented big leaf white tea-cake from Yunnan.
The leaves of this white tea-cake come from old tea-trees and are then processed into a high quality white tea. The method of processing, the origin and the shape of this tea (the cake) make this tea a combination of a ‘puerh’ tea and a ‘white’ tea. Since the taste of this tea is relatively similar to the Moonshine White tea, we can consider this tea to be a white tea. Yunnan Big Leaf is not just a beautiful white tea cake, but also a great tea to drink. Our price of 21.80 euros for a 360 gram tea-cake is an excellent value. Also, since the taste of this tea will get even better with age (just like the best puerh cakes), 360 grams is the perfect amount.
Brewing instructions: Use a small knife to cut some tea from the inner side of the
tea-cake in order to preserve its round shape. Use 3-4 grams for a glass and add almost boiling water. Rinse the tea once for washing purposes, and afterwards you can steep the tea up to five or six times. Infuse the tea for up to one minute depending on your personal preference.
