This Silver Needle is the highest grade of white tea available. Easy to recognize because of the white, fuzzy hairs, Silver Needle tea contains no leaves, just the unopened tea buds. This white tea is famous because of its special taste and the incredible health benefits. Just before the Qingming festival, between mid-March and mid-April, the best tea buds are picked in order to make a tea which has a sweet, mellow taste and refreshing aroma. Only the best unopened buds give the white impression, which is unique to the Silver Needle.

Quality: Since we have intimate knowledge of Fuding and the producer of this award winning tea we often visit the white tea fields and the factories in order to guarantee the quality. We can offer an exclusive, special white tea, which will be an instant favorite even for people who are not used to drinking white loose leaf tea (yet).

Brewing instructions: Use 3-4 grams of Silver Needle tea leaves per glass. Add 300ml of hot water (85 degrees Celsius)  and brew for 5 to 10 minutes (just one minute of you prefer a light taste). With our tea-maker or the kunfu tea set, use the same amount of tea leaves and the same water temperature, but only steep for a few seconds. However, this tea is of such high quality that it will not turn bitter if you steep it for too long. The silver needle tea buds will stand up and give a beautiful visual impression. Since some of the silver needle buds will not sink, we recommend using a glass teapot, or the tea-set with glass cups.
