Long Jing. China's nr.1.

Long JingLong Jing - Green Tea
Dragon Well
Imperial Grade

China's number one tea! Long Jing is without a doubt the most famous tea in China and is considered to be China's national tea. This tea originated in the hills next to Hangzhou's West Lake, which is one of the most scenic and beautiful places in China.

Long Jing - Green TeaLong Jing means well of the dragon resulting in the English name ‘Dragon Well’ Tea. Most non-Chinese simply refer to this tea as Dragon Well. Long Jing Tea is only harvested in the spring, and the tea picked in the first two weeks produces the  highest quality Long Jing, with the tea gradually getting poorer in Long Jing Teaquality as the harvest season continues. It's really important for Long Jing to be stored in a cold place because if the storage conditions are not right the taste will change.

Most of the Long Jing Tea you will encounter is not original.  This is because there are many variations of the Long Jing in China, like Da Fang Tea for instance. The quality of these types of Long Jing  is not as good as the original ones, with some being of very poor quality. However, it is possible to find a good Long Jing Tea for a Long Jingreasonable price. A high quality Long Jing is fantastic, but an average quality one is not nice at all. Of course, Tea Adventure will not disappoint you. We found a high quality Long Jing Tea and while our imperial grade Long Jing is not the cheapest tea, it is certainly one of the most tasty.

Brewing instructions: Use between 3-4 grams of Long Jing Tea per cup and add water just below boiling temperature (80 degrees Celsius). To prepare half a liter of this tea, use around 5 grams depending on your personal preference. Don't start with too much tea, otherwise the tea will become bitter. Steep the tea for a few seconds if you like mild tea and for a little more than a minute if you likeLong Jing strong tea. When using the kungfu tea set, add 3 grams of tea and steep for around 20 seconds. It's not necessary to wash this tea, but it doesn'thurt. Click here for examples of the kungfu tea set and here for examples of the convenient tea-maker.

The taste is refreshing with slight hints of both fruit and nuts. Much of the taste is due to the fact that this tea is baked...

If your order total doesn’t exceed 300 grams, the standard shipping tariff will be 4 euros and it will take around 12 days for you to receive the tea at home. If you order more than 15 euros, shipping will be free.
