Average Laspang Souchong is well known, however Imperial grade Lapsang Souchong is still rather unknown. Imperial Lapsang is a high mountain tea and you will experience the difference. Very smooth and soothing black tea.
  
In the mountains near Fujian’s beautiful Wuyi scenic area, there is a famous black smoked tea known as Lapsang Souchong or Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong, in Chinese. As soon as you smell the tea leaves, it will be clear that this tea is smoked with pine-needles. Because of this smoky taste, many people refer to Lapsang Souchong as 'smoked tea'.  Since this tea is already world-famous, we kept searching until we found a truly special variety. The taste of this tea is so strong that it can even match well with cheese. Lapsang Souchong can also be enjoyed with a cigar and a glass of whiskey.

Brewing Instructions: Use around 2 grams of Lapsang Souchong Tea per glass and add boiling hot water. To prepare half a liter of this tea, use around 4 grams depending on your personal taste. Steep the tea for a few seconds if you like mild tea and for a little more than a minute of you like strong tea. When using the kungfu tea set, add 2 grams of Lapsang Souchong and steep for around 20 seconds. It's not necessary to wash this tea, but it doesn't hurt. Most serious tea drinkers have developed the habit of always washing the tea once before drinking.
