In Anhui, just behind the famous Yellow Mountain, you’ll find the mountains of Qi Men. When you see these mountains it is obvious that this is the production area of the Keemun Black Tea. As far as the eye can see, the mountains are covered by tea fields. In the spring the tea-pickers will occupy this area searching for the best quality leaves. Use  3-4 grams of this tea per glass and add boiling hot water. To prepare half a liter of this tea, use around 5 grams depending on your personal preference. Don't start with too much tea, otherwise it will become bitter. Steep the tea for a few seconds if you like mild tea and for a little more than a minute of you like strong tea. When using the Kungfu tea set, add 3 grams of tea and steep for around 20. It's not necessary to wash this tea, but it doesn't hurt. Most serious tea drinkers have developed the habit of always washing the tea once before drinking.

Black tea goes through an oxidation process, which gives it the distinguished black colour. However, in China it is called red tea (hong cha), due to the deep red hues associated with the steeped tea. This Keemun black tea has a smoky taste, rounded off by fruity and flowery aromas.
